Voting is now open for the News-Star athlete of the week poll that includes eight athletes from the Monroe area.
Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until noon Thursday. The winner will be announced on Friday.
These athletes were chosen by their performance in the previous week.
Addie Bagwell, Neville softball: Bagwell went 4-for-4 at the plate in the 7-5 win over Northwood-Shreveport.
Wade Crawford, Ruston baseball: Crawford went 3-for-3, driving in two runs in the 14-0 win over Tioga.
Brennan Eager, West Monroe baseball: Eager threw a complete game shutout, throwing putting up 12 strikeouts and allowing two hits in the 11-0 win over Mangham.
Dyson Fields, Ruston baseball: Fields went 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs and a home run in the 14-0 win against Tioga.
Peyton Fuller, River Oaks baseball: Fuller struck out 11 in five innings in the 6-5 win over Forrest.
Landon Graves, Ouachita Christian baseball: Graves went 1-for-2 with two RBIs a run and walking twice in the 10-4 loss to West Monroe.

Jack Holbrook, River Oaks baseball: Holbrook went 3-for-4 and got the win on the mound by striking out six in order in the 6-5 win over Forrest.
Jacob Lilley, Ouachita Christian baseball: Lilley drove in two runs and went 2-for-3 in the 5-1 win against Ouachita Parish.
Cade Patterson, Ruston baseball: Patterson went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs in the 9-5 win over Live Oak.
Nick Robinson, Ruston baseball: Robinson allowed two hits and struck out one in four innings in the 14-0 win over Tioga.
J.R. Tollett, Ruston baseball: Tollett went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and an RBI against Tioga and threw a complete game with seven strikeouts in the 9-5 win against Live Oak.
Karson Trichel, Ouachita Christian baseball: Trichel threw a complete game with four strikeouts, no walks and allowing one home run in the 15-1 win against Ouachita Parish.
Zach White, Ouachita Christian baseball: White went 2-for-2with a walk, a double and three RBIs against Ouachita Parish.

The Athlete of the Week poll is comprised of athletes from all LHSAA-sanctioned sports excluding football. In the fall, that includes cross country, volleyball, cheerleading and swimming.
